Frankfort boasts beautiful, large, sandy beaches along Lake Michigan. Frankfort Beach and Crystal Lake Beach are the most popular. Crystal Lake’s clear waters are perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. Frankfort Beach’s expansive sandy beaches offer plenty of room for sun-bathing, swimming, beach volleyball and occasional beach-side paddleboard rentals.
The Point Betsie Lighthouse, located just north of Frankfort, is an iconic landmark. Visitors can tour the lighthouse, learn about its history, and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. Right on Frankfort Beach is the Frankfort pier and lighthouse. Take a walk all the way to the end where tourists and locals take the plunge into Lake Michigan.
